Angry Centro Unlocked-incoming call screen freezes

Occasionally my palm screen freezes on incoming calls and I get a missed call message. btw when I attempt to answer the call with the "accept" button" nothing happens.I do not think this is a hardware issue as the button works otherwise

Welcome to Treonauts nomanley. First off, let us begin with a diagnosis.

Have you installed any 3rd party applications?
Did you hotsync from an old palm Treo/Handheld? There could be some corrupt data in your backup causing this.

Yes, i synced from treo 680 and get message protol error 400 message

Following your thinking I checked hotsync log I get Protocol Error: Unknown Error: (1) Message.
Failed to backup one file
Pm TraceDataBase
Protcal Error: Handheld file could not be opened (4004)
SYNCERR_FILE_NOT_OPEN
I then did a hard reset did a hotsync under new username same message. help?

The solution is relatively easy to fix:
1.. Launch FileZ or Resco Explorer and tap on view and edit files
2. Open the internal folder and tap pmtracedatabase and put a check mark next to it
3. Tap details
4. Tap on the "Attrs" tab
5. Uncheck the box next to backup
6. Click Save
7. Sync

My apologies. I didn't read your posts thoroughly enough. The hotsync error and the phone freeze are two different problems. What I would do is try a warm reset and then turn on your phone radio and have someone call you and see if you have a delay or freeze. If not, then its likely a software conflict problem. Two ways to handle this. First way, would be to back everything up, do a hard reset and then a full restore. Sometimes this is enough to get things working smoothly again. IF that doesn't work, then try another hard reset, but with a selective restore, with just any apps that may interface with the phone app (UltimatePhone, TAKEphONE, Phone Technician, Phone Disconnect, Phone Switch, any Ringtone Manager, etc.). Add them one at a time and check your phone's response time and for freezes. Its doubtful, although possible,that its a hardware problem. Good luck!

I have no 3rd party apps that i may know that may interfere with phone app that i know of only those that came with phone. I suspect there is a delay, as when i press the center button a number of times, after an incoming call freeze, the screen suddenly goes through all the screens sometimes ending in the missed call screen sometimes not.
byw the screen freeze does not always happen, i notice, mainly when the has not been used for sometime ie hrs. hope this and you help(s). hate to loose it, as otherwise i love the phone.
