![]() | Centro Bluetooth Problems I've searched around the forum, but haven't found anything on point. I've been trying to use a bluetooth headset, and the centro connects to the headset without issue, but it appears that I can not use the the button on the headset to control the phone until I'm actually in the phone call. This includes using the button to answer the phone from the headset. Am I missing some step here? What am I doing wrong? Also, I'm considering dropping my landline service, in favor of using just my cell phone. I've been looking at some bluetooth docking devices, that allow you to use a regular phone instead of walking around with the cellphone. They claim that the device enables you to use a fax machine and dial from a regular phone using the bluetooth connection your cellphone. My concern is that given my bluetooth issues with the centro, that this won't work properly either. Anyone have any thoughts? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | well with most palm devices especially treos BT is hit and misss! Dont know if the centro is better in that regards havent played with one. Have looked at a dummy phone at Sam's Club where its now 0.00 after rebates with an upgrade or new contract. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This happens on my Treo755P. I am convinced that it is a power saving feature on the Treo. The bluetooth will eventually click on after the call has been accepted. Annoying to say the least but it does connect. |

![]() | I'm not saying it doesn't connect, I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a solution that would allow it to connect prior to a phone call connecting. |

![]() ![]() | The headset, at least my Scala 500, usually connects after the ongoing call starts ringing, unlike a wired headset where you hear each key press. So I don't think BT activates until a call is sent out or an incoming call is received.

![]() ![]() ![]() | That is the way mine have always worked. You have to wait until the actual connection takes place, then you're on. |
