Centro SMS error 256 - Page 2 - Treo Forum

My wifes phone was showing error 256, we purchased a new sim card for the phone & it now works fine.

I had this problem twice, but today I think I know what caused it. For some reason the Message Cenbter Number provided by the net operator has suddenly dissapeared. But when you manually put it back - it works. Go to Messaging, Options: Preferences: Network; Manual: Edit. And you can enter the Message center number (with the help from you net provider). Voilá. Took me three month and several soft and hard restarts, and endless chats wiht Palm Suppport (very friendly) and my network operator's support (firm and polite). I am very pleased with my Centro.
