Turn off email notification at night? Sprint - Treo Forum

My girlfriend just got a Centro from Sprint.

How do you keep it from checking AND notifying you of new email in the middle of the night? I even turned off the network connection but it still got new email.

You might to just turn off the phone, duh. Or if you want to have even more control over what's on or off, look at Power Man to set up customized Profiles for any situation or environs.

I know that in versamail's preferences you can change how often as well as when it gets email. mine doesn't get any between 10pm and 6am. hope this helps

Most of the email programs (if not all) have an option that allows you to input hours for mail to be checked, and for when to be offline. Let us know what your using and we should be able to help you figure out how to set it up!

To expand on what other users here have said. Go into Versamail and into your email. From your in box, hit the menu button then Options/Preferences. Then in the Preferences screen go to AutoSync From there select the Days and Hours you wish your e-mail to be sync.

If you tried the new push e-mail that was posted here by a user, then you will have to select that the alert be none. I haven't found a way to disable it other than taking the audible tone off. It'll push the e-mail to your phone as it is received.
