| A Few Questions.... ![]() | To Do List? Hi. I was wondering if there is a way to have the Centro automatically go to your "To Do" list whenever you turn it on/press power button. I like to view my calendar and to do list everyday but I really wish it could be like a "home screen" of some sort, does that make sense? Are there any programs out there that will make this happen? Thanks! Steve |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Welcome to Treonauts, Chones!!!!!!! I don't know of anyway to do that without a third party app. There are a couple ways to go with third party apps, however. 2Day and TMP both offer a toggled To Do list from the calendar hard key. There are also a plethora of keyguard apps that would include the ability to customize and add the To Do list there as well. You might look at KeyGuard (in fact, I believe Treonauts just did a review of this product within the last week or so). Others may know of further programs you can use, but that ought to give you a starting place. Stu |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Remember that you can bring up the screen with more than just the red "power" button. The other hard keys will bring up their respective apps as well (Phone, Calendar, Mail, Home). The nice thing is, you can go to Prefs>Buttons and remap which applications open when you press those buttons. So, to solve your situation without any third party apps, you could set one of those buttons to launch your To Do app, then press that button to wake your Treo instead of pressing the "power" button. Hope this helps! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good point, Forgot. I personally don't like to give up any of my hard keys from their normal function so I "forget" that that is an option. |

![]() | This is true! Great point forgot! I've been recommending Butler so much I feel like a sales rep But in all honesty, IF you want to invest in a third party app, Butler allows you to expand upon the button assignment. For example, in Prefs it doesn't allow you to map any other app/function to the "phone" hard button, while Butler will. I use Takephone and have it mapped to my Green button. So just now I mapped my To Do/Task app to my phone button. So with this set up I don't lose any of my other hard buttons and I technically don't lose my phone button because TakePhone is already mapped to the Green button. Butler will also allow a Opt+Home button capability that Prefs does not. Either way, enjoy your new To Do list button. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | OHD, I have Butler and Fast Launch and I know you do as well. I did away with my Butler single key assignments thinking that it would conflict with Fast Launch. Have you been able to figure a way to get them both to work? Stu |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Thanks for your input. I actually have Butler but just used it for Alarms. I mapped the green key as you suggested & this seems to work well. The only other thing -- do you guys know a way to disable the red key? I mean when the phone is on standby (after inactivity) you have to press the red button to power up. What I envisage, or rather, what I would like my centro to do is when I hit one button (from standby) my to do list will be the first screen that I see. As I currently have it, I have to hit the red button then the green to bring up my to do list (via Butler). Any way to shorten this process? Last edited by chones2083; 03-26-2008 at 04:36 PM. |

That's the best I can think of. I was trying to figure out if some change in the speedykey set up (via Butler) would make some difference in how these two worked together. If I could extend the "hold" needed for FL to work, then a tap would allow Butler's keylauncher to work...does that make sense? Often times things don't sound as clear outside of my head as I'd like. ![]() | |
