iPhone to Centro--syncing contacts question - Treo Forum

hey everybody--

I recently switched from at&t with the iPhone to Sprint with the Centro. My question: does anyone know how to transfer all of my contacts from address book on my Mac into my centro.

I am running 10.5 Leopard.

(I tried over at the Apple forums but no dice as of yet)

by the way I don't want to use themissingsync due to the $40 bucks they charge. Anyway around this?

I wonder if they let you use MissingSync as a trial...that would be just long enough to switch the contacts over. The other suggestion I would have is to go to your local Sprint store. They have machines with software that will speedily transfer your contacts from one phone to the other. The only possible issue, however, is that its two different phone systems. I would call them first and see if they can do it. Seems like I just read about a new app that came out the past couple days that is geared towards Mac users for syncing. I'll see if I can find it.

I should also mention that I do NOT have a micro sd card yet.

I'm assuming contacts can be saved in the phone as well though.

Yes, Contacts are saved onto the phone, not the card.

When you sync you iPhone to the Mac, does it save it to a calendar of some sort? Like Microsoft Outlook? If you have the contacts in a calendar, you may be able to get them over to the Palm Desktop and then synced to your Centro.

I'm a big Mac user, and used to have an iPhone--since there is no Outlook for Mac, basically you have two options for the iPhone--either sync with Mac OS X's Address Book and iCal, or sync to Microsoft Entourage.
