I am having problems with it as well, I assume it may be from an incompatibility issue with memos from my zire 72 and the cnetro, I tried directly beaming from my centro to my zire, and it gives me a database error.

When I installed the new palm desktop it apparently corrupted, (and was corrupted by) my previous installation. I have several conduits that are corrupted with the settings on my zire, and It totally corrupted hot syncing the zire.

Luckily other than this issue with memo pad, and trying to fix syncing my voice recorder so I can sync it to my pc.

Hey dbatton,
I am having the same problem beaming Memos from a Treo 650 to a Treo 700p, so it's not a compatibility problem. I don't have the option of syncing, because the 650 connector will not communicate at all. I have to charge a battery on another 650 and swap it in just to keep a charged battery in it! I'm about to uninstall Documents To Go on the 700 and try re-beaming the 650 Memos to see if that will put them into Memo format (which I much prefer) on the 700. Thought I would check w/you first and see if you had any success yet? Thanks

welcome probate judge to treonauts sorry you' re having connector issues. I domnt have a 650 anymore moved to the 750 but it may be a beaming issue or program incompatibility as far as version differences or maybe its a DTG problem Others have in the past reported issues with DTG and maybe if you are using an older version of DTG that could be part of the problem as well.

Thanks jfa02. It beams OK, the data transfers accurately into the 700p, and is viewable there in DTG. I just cannot get it to go into the 700 in Memo format, whether I beam a single memo or a category. I assumed (know what that means!) that there is a preference setting somewhere on the 700 that allows you to choose DTG or Memo, but cannot find anything on that. What is your opinion of deleting the DTG app, then attempting to beam?

I dont feel qualified to give a response to ythat I am on the wmos now since Feb 07 and have insufficient experience to offer my opinion. Others still using palm os and DTG would be much better qualified to respond. You could always try that and reinstall if it does noyt that way either. Someone w a 700 may chime in and advise if ther's a setting for thatr and if so where and what.

Hi, I have the same problem after upgrade from Tungsten T3 to Treo680. I have searched DataViz database - no answer. I have asked DataViz support 4 days ago - no answer so far.
I'll kick DocsToGo off from Treo, because quick Memo is for my much more important then DTG. But maybe there is a way to exclude Documents to Go from dealing with text (*.txt) files?

DataViz - the producer of Documents To Go - sent me only an autoreply that "In general we try to respond to your inquiry within two business days." I had no answer from DataViz.com within a week.

So here is my SOLUTION:
Download from DataViz web page DocID: 13421 - After upgrading Documents To Go, I receive an error that says "Documents To Go has detected that a previous version of Documents To Go is installed". program DataViz Tech Tool. Install it on your Treo. Start it and choose "Uninstall Documents To Go". It is successfully uninstalled, however icon Documents still exists. Tap it. Install program will start. On the 2nd screen you can choose Documents To Go as "Default Viewers" of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and Text files. Unmark Text and continue installation. Now your text files will land in Memos when beaming/sending from another PalmOS device.

NB: You need to create the same categories in Memos as you have on your older device. On reception of the category, you must indicate the category where files will be located.
If you have password protected text files (Private) they will be not sent with the rest of the category. First, show it in older device: Preferences > Security > Show Private Records. Then send it to Treo. You must do it manually. Important: after acceptance in Treo, files are without an attribute "Private", so you must mark Private in Details.
