![]() | I'm a college student two hours away from home and this weekend i failed to remember my Palm Centro phone charger, i won't be home again till this weekend. My phone lasted till this evening and i realized i have my USB sync cord here at school with me..does that charge the centro at all? I have it plugged in and the indicator light its flashing green and red subtley....what does this mean? Will my phone charge at all from the USB cord? Or is it useless at this point? ![]() Last edited by kmae; 02-28-2008 at 09:29 AM. Reason: specification of phone type |

![]() ![]() | If you've got a sync & charge USB cable for your Centro then all you need is to plug into a USB port either on a powered up Hub or computer. I don't know about the blinking, usually the light is red during a charge. Just make sure the computer or hub in ON before you plug in the cable and connect the Treo.

![]() ![]() ![]() | It does a trickle charge, so it should work for you, but it won't turn on the charging icon or indicator.

![]() ![]() | It'll take a while to charge but it will charge ... typically usb charging is at about 500mA whereas a brick will pump out about an 1amp. ~ Steph

![]() | This is good to know. I lucked up because the adapter that came w/ the Centro fits the wall charger as well as the car charger of my old phone. ![]() My bluetooth also charges with it. Optimus Centro out. *mental note: sync gives a trickle charge*
