![]() | I can't speak universally for Paramedics or EMTs across the states, but we're all familiar with it where I work. There was a local pub-ed campaign, and surprisingly, I've found it in some folks phones before while treating them. As for the need to find the ICE contact in an emergent situation, that's something that gonna come a bit after the fact. After all, our first priority is to take care of the patient. Once the life threats have been mitigated, then we'll work on getting ahold of a patient's ICE contact. As for the above mentioned formatting... BRILLIANT! I just set mine up in my Centro, and made the contact * Emergency Contact Info *, with an attached note (which is immediately visible on opening the contact), and listed my wife, parents, and sister. With the addition of punctuation, it's the first contact that shows up, so there's no missing it. Thanks for the idea! |

![]() | Hi ya’ll Mine do not show up under caller ID since I use the contacts First name and then the phone# in the phone# field. Following is an example how I set up the Contact Last name: ICE First name: Emergency Mobile: Sandy: 123-444-0768 Mobile: Susan: 123-555-2722 Mobile: Jim: 123-666-0579 Mobile: Bob: 123-777-8506 This is all 1 contact and all the phone fields changed to Mobile but you can use Home, Work or any others. This will display all emergency contacts but will not interfere with you caller ID This has one drawback. You can only display and not dial the phone# this way but I would assume that the EMT’s have there own phone’s anyway. Correction: I have noticed that my original idea DOES interfere with the caller ID photo and sound. My solution: I deleted the “Emergency ICE” contact that I created. I edited my 4 emergency contacts and substituted the Last Name with Emergency-1 (ICE), Emergency-2 (ICE), Emergency-3 (ICE) and Emergency-4 (ICE).
