Weirdness...

Hello everyone...

I noticed another weird thing happening with my centro. I have Backup Man on my centro that automatically backs up at 4am every morning.

I like my buttons set as when you push the envelope under the home key that it goes to Text Messaging abnd option envelope is Sprint Mobile email.

I noticed that every time backup man does it's thing, my phone restarts (it did not restart when I used backup man on my 700p) and when it comes back, both envelope and option envelope are sprint mobile email.

Now this isn't too aggravating seeing I jusst go to prefs and reset my buttons the way I like them...I just don't understand why this is happening. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!!

-Chris

Or....take a look at this. Picked it up from the Bits 'n Bolts Software (creators of Backupman) website:

The following items effect all NVFS devices.
  • If you experience a system reset at the end of a backup, you have a program loaded on your device that either "patches" or intercepts certain system function calls. Any program that adds functionality to the device when it is not the active application falls into this category. Here are some examples:
    • Butler
    • ClipPro
    • CrashPro
    • Fonts4OS5
    • pToolSet
    • TextPlus
Removal of those (or any similar) programs and the problem will go away. Please note that the programs themselves are most likely not at fault, they are simply exposing a defect in the Palm NVFS system design. Some of the developers of this type of program have already released updates that work around the problem; you should contact them directly for details. If you would like to know a more technical explanation of why this happens click here.
