Random Vibrating - Treo Forum

I have noticed since I got my centro that is just randomly vibrates from time to time. It isn't to notify me of anything. Not email, not alarm, not text....nothing. it will just vibrate and then be done. I've noticed it does this maybe 4-6 times a day. Anyone else see this happening...or maybe know why this is happening? Thanks.

To get rid of it did you reset the device by removing the battery and outting it back in?

If you have clicked on the Sprint Mobile Mail this will cause your phone to vibrate. This is the default reminder for Sprint Mobile Mail. Go in to Mobile Mail and select preferences. Turn notifications off.

Mine was doing this as well. I'll try the setting in sprint mobile mail....

I have only had my centro a few days and have also had problems with the random vibrating... I could not find preferences under my sprint mobile mail.. OK I am a newbie..first smartphone and it is smarter than me. Can someone give me more information on how to fix this..more details please.

Ok, I found the answer in another Thread, and to save someone else from having to look further...

Go to the sprint mobile mail
click on your account... ie..yahoo
hit the menu key
got to settings
preference
and unclick the box that says vibrate.

I have a different but related problem. I have the AT& T centro and instead of random vibration, mine wakes itself from sleep mode and lights up for no reason what so ever, then falls back off into sleep mode. Then about 5 minutes later does the same thing. It does this for about 6 times in a row then its normal for hours. All of the sudden it starts up again for no reason that I can figure out.

Like I said I have AT&T so I'm not operating a mobile e-mail program.
Any clues?
