My theory was that the Centro was just excited to see you.

@akaivyleaf: Do you have any programs that use the data connection to update? They often "wake up" when they are updating.

Optimus Centro is on a distinguished road
Boy o BOY am I glad I read this thread.

This happened to me this morning. I had my alarm set and it vibrated. It didn't light up. I checked my alarm and it was still on so I tried to return to REM sleep.

It vibrated again about 5 minutes later (it seemed like it was 5 minutes...actual elapsed time may have been 30 minutes). So I'm looking around as if I'm on camera or something.

It was the darndest thing at 4 in the morning.

Thanks for the info everyone!

(I'm the purple one on the end)

Optimus Centro out.

No I don't. The only thing I can think of is this Awful "Push to talk" that comes bundled with the AT&T version. I DO NOT use it, would never use it, but I imagine it has some kind of connection... I don't appear to be able to delete it and thats unfortunate. Otherwise, I haven't even logged in to the internet on my phone (yet) but I do plan to at some point. From reading the posts I was trying to think of what might have a data collection that I don't know about, but everything is static, doesn't require updating etc.

Here's a thought ... do you have a bluetooth headset connected to it? If so, the Palm devices are notorious for disconnecting and then refinding the device again?

Humm... I do have a bluetooth headset, but I've worn it once in the two weeks that I've had the phone. It is paired up but its been off since about day 3. (more as a function of my forgetfulness, not about the quality of my headset). Do you still think this could be the cause? Should I delete it and only pair and use it when I'm going to use the headset?

No. It only happens when the BT headset is 'connected' and waiting to be used. If it is off and you are using the handset there shouldn't be any problems. I don't have BT experience with our two Centros, but its a nightmare on my 700p. (constantly re-pairing)
