Treo 700p to Centro conversion - Page 2 - Treo Forum

UPDATE:

I started this thread due to the fact that I had problems HotSyncing to my older Mac. Well, because of this, I have had to transfer files over email and other more difficlut ways. A buddy of mine gave me a program called CardExport (Softick Card Export II www.softick.com/cardexport2/). IT basically allows you to plug your Centro or Treo into your computer with the HotSync cord and the phone acts as if it is a flash drive. Makes transferring files simple as anything. I'm loving it. Thought you might liek to know.

Thanks for the info. My pink Centro should be waiting for me when I get home and I will be transferring from a 700p also.

Can someone tell me if the version of Tom-Tom I bought for my 700p will work on the centro?

I've been thinking of switching to a BB pearl, but since the recent news of a centro possibly coming to Verizon, I just might have to get me a centro!

Which version of Tom Tom is it? I believe it should work sionce it's OS dependent not hardware dependent and, as well know, the OS really hasn't changed.

The only thing to be aware of is that you'll probably have to call TomTom to authorise your new device as they're picky with multiple registrations even when separated by lots of time.

It's not big deal, just tell them you switched device.
