Web util to text message to a centro - Treo Forum

I am a little out of touch with text messaging, sorry for this post.

Instead of using a phone to send a text message, can a person use a web application to send a text message to my cento's phone number?

Or even better yet, can one email directly to my phone number as a text message? I guess dont this, the person can get a response in eMail form.

Basically I am going to be traving outside the US. My wife never sent a text message in her life, and does not want to learn how. I am looking for a good way to communicate with her other than the cost of phone calls.

Yes, one can send you a text via email. In your case, it would be yourphonenumber@txt.att.net.

And you can access yout ATT wireless account on line and they have a link to a site to send a text message to whomever.
