Unhappy Text Message Contacts Autofill Stopped Working! Help!

When I type in a letter in my To: field in a new text message, my contact list no longer shows up. Does anyone know what's going on? Can this be fixed without having to reset everything? Thank you!

Have you tried a soft reset, that wouldn't loose any data?

i have tried a soft reset (im assuming that is when you take out the battery?) i was updating my docs 2 go software and it never really finished installing. i deleted the program because i thought that was the reason, but it still isnt working. im going to have to do a full reset arent i??

Dont know that yet. I would say probably. DTG could have inadvertently coruupted a database file or something and bolloxed up the works. Do you have a backup of your files on the centro. Have you installed anything else recently?

Try running the trial version of DBFixIt and see if detects anything

i have not installed anything else, so i am pretty confident that it is the dtg. sadly, even that program is corrupt too now.

yikes, the dbfixit was a nightmare to try to install. it kept making my phone freeze and i just didnt have the time nor energy to figure it out especially since the trial only tells you what the problems are and doesnt fix them. i truly appreciate the suggestion though! it would be easier for me just to reset everything than fiddle with that.

I would. I would collect all of my sync codes for all the my paid applications and just do a hard reset. It will clear up any and all software conflicts. Now you can start fresh and install your applications one by one so you don't recreate the problem.
