Thumbs up If you know this, you RULE. How to export Contacts data to correct fields?

Can somebody recommend a smart exporting tool? Or can you think of a way to do this?

I have a Treo 700p, and I'd really like to export my contacts from Palm Desktop to CSV format. But the data must go to the CORRECT FIELDS.

The Problem:
Some of my contacts have Mobile/Home/Work. And others have Work/Email/Home. However, when I export from Palm Desktop to a CSV (or any other table format), it seems to put the data into columns by ORDER instead of the proper LABEL. For example, some of the contacts will show an email address in the same column where other contacts show a mobile number. That's just lame, right?

The Solution??
I'm looking for some 3rd party software (or another method you can think of) that will put the data into the correctly labeled columns of a CSV table.

Would really appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

You might take a look at this: just Googled it, and came up with this exporting software.
If you try it, let me know what you think, as I have the same problems you described.

(1) OUTLOOK EXPORT Tool - Export Contacts, Emails, Dates, User-Defined Field, Tasks, Calendars, Appointments

@rjuhl, thanks for the link for the Outlook Export Tool.

However, my Treo currently syncs with Palm Desktop. I'd like to be able to export the data straight from there, without using a secondary conduit like Outlook.

Any thoughts? Let me know if you discover anything that makes Palm Desktop export data into the correct fields of a CSV. Thx!

I use the DIMEX program from linkesoft.com. It will export CSV files like you want.

I hope they are still in business. I just got a timeout when I went to their web site.

@aa6vh, thanks for the suggestion. It seems that DIMEX by linkesoft.com is only for exporting Calendar appointments.

Any ideas on something like this that can export Contacts data into the correct fields of a CSV?

Thanks!
