Security- Won't shut off! - Treo Forum

I tried the built in security application that comes with my 700P. After a couple of days and having to put in my password every 45 minutes or so I decided to turn it off. I unassigned the password but it still activates the security every 30-45 minutes! If I go into 'Security' it says the password is unassigned and that it will "Never" lock (even if a password was assigned). If I choose 'Lock & Turn Off...' it responds with "A password is required to lock the device." This indicates again that no password is set!

Yet it still asks for my password!
I have assigned/unassigned and it still locks!
If I assign a password, then tell it to never lock, it still locks and uses the old password!

Help!

i would back everything up and do a hard reset. that usually cures what ails ya.
