Mundu IM w/proxy settings - Treo Forum

When I try to log into AIM, I recieve this error message that states "AIM - You have been disconnected from the server." And some other error that says Cannot connect to server (4626) or something of that sort. Help please?

Are you having any problems with any of your other data seeking apps, such as Blazer, On Demand, etc?

Never had a problem with Mundu, why are you using a proxy? and does it work without the proxy?

Well I'm using T-Mobile Web and I have to have a proxy of 216.155.165.50:8080 in order to make Blazer and Mail work. I have no problems with Blazer or Mail whatsoever.

IC, well either the proxy is the problem or the server. I would recommend sending Mundu Support an email and describing the problem. They are known to be very responsive and helpful. Good luck!

.. because some proxy servers will only forward standard ports like 80 (web) 21 (ftp) 25 (smtp) etc.

I think the IM's have ports that are much higher..

I had a similar problem and when contacted mundu support, they had to say this.....

In order to use mundu IM, you need to have complete Internet access with full TCP/IP enabled. Most mobile operators call this service as Advanced GPRS / Internet plan / Data plan.
The T-Mobile Web plan (T-Zones) doesn't allow non-HTTP socket connection and hence cannot be used to get connected to mundu IM.

I have switched to an unlimited data plan and mundu is just fine.

Well sweet. Is there other IM apps out there that are compatable with T-Mobile Web? And is T-Mobile Total Internet compatable with Mundu IM?
