I have all my contacts in a csv file. How can I get that onto my phone? You won't believe the things I've tried - active synch doesn't work, i bought a sim card reader to stick my old sim card to pull the contacts off doesn't work, sunnysoft won't work because the old phone can't send out sms's..

also I want my contacts to be phone contacts not outlook contacts..

There is only one contacts list on the Treo, it's used by the phone app, email, messaging, etc.

If it's in a CSV file then you can import that into Outlook and then sync them onto the Treo via Activesync

Well no easy way. Activesync has been designed around Outlook, there is a third party tool to sync with Outlook Express but that's about it
