Screen lock needed?

My friend, who also uses a Treo 650, is endlessly hanging up, accidentally during calls. He has a pointy cheek bone that hits the hang up button on the screen. I have been trying to find a utility that would lock out the screen during a call unless he deliberately wants access to things like the organizer etc.

any ideas, at all?

There's a setting for that, go into Prefs, Keyguard and tick the box for Disable touchscreen when: On a call

Thank you TazUk, I feel a bit silly that I forgot to mention I was aware of this setting. My apologies. The problem with keygaurd is that it does not allow you to use the touch screen in the phone app even if you wanted to. Other apps yes, but not the phone. I am hoping for something that would disable the screen unless it was touched in a hard to get at corner or two. Any further ideas? or something I'm missing with keygaurd?

You mean something like keyguard but for the screen and kind of bottom left followed by top right sort of thing?

Umm... sadly no.

I did a quick look through the store but couldn't see anything. I check freewarepalm.com where I thought there woudl bea handy tool but alas there was none.

I was thinking maybe a different dialer would be the answer like TakePhone don't seem to have it either...

Sorry... anyone else know of an app like this?

Same luck here. I have been looking for an app like that but there aren't any that are easy to find. The prefs. option should be good until an app becomes available.

I think you can use Butler from HobbyistSoftware.

Here's excerpt from it's manual

'S' re-enables screen if disabled: If you have chosen to lock the touchscreen during calls (by using phone preferences), then pressing s allows you to get access again. The touchscreen will still say that it is disabled - but it won't be

I was just going to mention not only Butler (like ImAd suggested) but perhaps also Phone Technician from Hobbyist as well. I'll try to test them later.
