Backupbuddy2 takes forever to back up 8gb SDHC card - Treo Forum

I have a Treo 650 and a 8gb SDHC card and I use Blue Nomad's BackupBuddy 2 to make a mirror backup of my PDA. I also have the Memory Card backup option enabled to "Backup Memory Cards" so it can backup my SDHC card. However, the software bogs down when backing up the memory card and takes an unknown amount of time to backup the card. (I have left it for 14 hours and it
hadn't finished).

Does anyone know if there is a way that this can be sped up? Is it possible to have the software backup the card from a separate dedicated card reader?

I take it you don't want to manually copy the files from your SD card to the PC?

Thanks for your help the past few days.

No, that's what I have been doing. I would like to be able to just place my Treo in it's crib, hit HotSync and let it do it's thing. Plus, BackupBuddy does a very nice job of versioning of the backups. Roll backs are very easy.

How much data is on the SD card?

The Treo 650 is probably a USB 1.1 device so limited in how fast it can transfer data

or maybe usb 1.0 even perhaps depending on how old the 650 is?
