755 won't sync with Outlook 2003

Treo 755p with XP and Outlook 2003. I got Outlook to load all my contacts onto the Treo but I can't get the Calendar or tasks, etc. to sync. I've tried switching to have the handheld overwrite the computer, but nothing changes.

Here's what the log looks like. I assume the "Unknown Resource Retrieval Failure" is the problem. No joy on the Palm support side.

Thanks for any ideas.

Haven't experienced the "Unknown Resource Retrieval Failure", but I do sync with Outlook 03 successfully. On your Treo, go to the Hot Sync screen then press the Menu button (bottom right) - go to Conduit Setup and make sure all the conduits are check-marked. Just a shot.

Appreciate the idea, but all the conduit check boxes were checked.

It seems there's something that is preventing the data from being accesssed on the Treo. There's no reference to this error and I've been disconnected from tech support hold after long waits three times.

Any and all ideas appreciated.

You could try switching it to sync with the Palm Desktop and then switch it back again

Where can I get the Outlook conduits? I just got a new laptop with Vista on it, requiring a new Palm Synch Beta for Vista, and just upgraded from a Treo 650 to a 755.... It has no Outlook conduits....

Actually, I've searched and searched on the Palm and Sprint sites for the Outlook conduits and cannot find them.

As far as the PC side of it - I'm on XP still and don't know about the particulars of the Vista beta. I'm afraid I'm at the "Empty Arms Hotel" (obscure Hee-Haw reference) when it comes to Vista

That being said, if the beta works with the Palm Desktop & HotSync as it should - on your PC, the Outlook conduits are part of Palm Desktop software and can be setup through HotSync Manager (i.e. right-click the HotSync tray icon or via your Start menu go to Programs then HotSync manager. You can tell each conduit (calendar, contacts...) who to behave when you sync.

Look over this thread . It may give you some more info on the whole Vista thing and connect you with some Treonauts who have given it a whirl!

Nice!! I live in Nashville, so, you know, Hee Haw is part of our culture here. That and the fact that we don't wear shoes.

I'll check my conduits again, but I can't seem to modify where they point like I could with the non-beta Palm software.

I don't see any reference to Outlook in the 755's Conduit Setup screen.

I cannot change the conduit's source or sink in the PC's HotSync "Application" screen.
