Palm Desktop for Vista - Treo Forum

Good news! Palm finally released a Desktop that works with Windows Vista and Outlook 2007

Bad news! The Desktop application freezes and does not work with Outlook 2003 (which comes on most machines)

Has anyone worked around these problems?

my installation went flawlessly although i do not use outlook. it syncs much faster but the palm interface is ugly.

I am using Vista Ultimate.

I am using it on Vista Home Premium, and it synched for the first time flawlessly yesterday.

However, where do you get the friggin Outlook conduits? I don't have an installation CD to get them from .... I can only synch to Palm Desktop (or am I just a total dumb**s?).

You select the conduits from All Program tab -> Palm -> PIM Conduit Sync -> Sync with Outlook

Where can u download the version of Palm OS that can be used with vista, I went to the Palm site and got a message that Palm OS was not compatible with Vista at this time ... I have Vista Home edition

Downloaded 6.2 Beta and installed it and tried to Hot Sync. I hear a "boop" sound from the Vista System and the Treo does not connect. Move the USB cable to my old XP system and it hotsyncs with no problem

Another Vista incompatibility I guess....
