![]() | 700p rebooting after sync Hi all! I've had a Treo 700p since October, and aside from occasionally slowness I'm very happy with it. However, in the last couple of weeks my Treo has developed a new quirk: It reboots itself after I synchronize it with my PC. I sync with Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 PC. The phone is on Verizon Wireless. The synchronization itself appears to work fine and there's no mention of errors in the log file. Immediately after the status window has disappeared on the PC, the Treo screen goes white, shows the Palm logo, then blank briefly before showing the Access logo, then the Palm logo again. Finally once the machine comes back up, I get the Verizon logo and the machine reconnects to their network. It's more of an annoyance than anything else. I can't think of anything I've installed on it that would cause a problem. Anyone got any idea what might be the cause? Thanks, - Phut |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Try running dbScan on your 700P in case there's some sort of corruption in the DB files ![]()

![]() | No luck with DBScan. Thanks for the suggestion though. I'm going to hard reset and re-install the (few) applications I've got and see if that works. |

![]() | I did a hard reset, re-synched with a different phone name (which got my contacts and calendar events from Outlook back on the Treo) then re-installed Card Reader, USB Modem, Google Maps and picked up a trial version of Chatteremail (sooo much better than VersaMail). So I never did find out what was causing the rebooting after sync, but at least it's not doing it now. Thanks to all who viewed and contributed to this thread. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Maybe you deleted the app that was corrupt. Or perhaps, when you reinstalled the app, it did so correctly. Any how, I am glad that your issue is over. |
