Lock Up w/ Wireless Sync - Treo Forum

I have been having problems with my treo locking up almost every time I sync via Wireless Sync. I'm using a Treo 650 with Verizon. I am synching with MS Outlook '03 via a POP3 server. All of my settings are correct because it does sync, it just locks the Treo when it is completed. I've been on the phone with Verizon countless times and they have had me remove all 3rd party software and do hard resets. I even created a new back up folder. It seems to work for a few hours and then it goes back to locking up on me. Any advice would be great.

You could try using dbScan to check there's no corruption in your address book, tasks, etc.

Ok, so Verizon has been great with this issue. They have sent me 3 different 650s (refurb) to try to correct the problem. Since these didn't solve the problem we reloaded all of the palm, wireless sync software. They just sent me a brand new 700p.

It is working great. I'm afraid to re-load my games and Volume Care because they seemed to think that was the problem.

Any thoughts?

haven't heard of vc causing buggy problems. and it really depends on the games you're loading. try them one at a time and see if there's any gripes from your 700p. and if there's a problem you can always hard reset.

Verizon recently gave me a new phone (700P) to replace my old one because it locked up so bad that a hard reset would solve the problem. It would just sit there on the ACCESS POWERED screen. I've set my new phone up and resyncd with my Outlook. So far it hasn't locked up again but I'm not optimistic the problem is solved.
