Palm Desktop HotSync to Treo 680 - Treo Forum

HELP(I tried calling Cingular Help but endless wait and Treo help line number is not readily apparent).
The first hotsync appeared to go well although there were a lot of odd messages on the Log. However, when I now either click on a Palm app on the phone or try to hotsync again the screen goes dark and then the Palm icon comes up etc.
My apologies if this topic has already been discussed.

Have you got a note as to what they were?

Sounds like you've got some problems. Like Taz said, copy the info from your Hotsync log into here and we'll see if we can help you sort it out.

Thanks for or your offers but it fixed itself! I unplugged everthing etc and tried later and it worked. Should have done that before I left the message. Now I only have to get my EMail to work. Trouble is I live where there is no Cingular service so I cannot do the usual trial and error procedure from home. Should be able to figure it out tomorrow.

Wonderful gadget but I did like my Zire 72 for the big screen and the ease of input plus the think profil for my shirt pocket. The keys on the 680 are so small and no writing on the screen. Another small concern I have is the seemingly flimsy, charger connection to the device and computer connection. They both look as if I am not very careful the plugs will break?

There are several options for writing on the screen if that would make life easier for you. Here are a couple. As for the connectors, they hold up pretty well to tramplings by my 3 year old!
