Religion related Apps, Tools, and/or Tricks

I was not sure how to best title this.
I thought it may be beneficial if we had a thread where we could tell about favorite apps, tools, and or tricks that we use for religious purposes. This way it would be easier to follow and find. Mine are very basic, but hopefully others will have even better.

Currently my favorite apps in this category are:

MyBible by Laridian - I use it daily. For some reason I have found it much easier to keep up with my daily reading using it.
BDicty by Beiks LLC - has Naves Topical B-Bdicty, NT_Greek, NT_Synonyms, Strongs_Greek, Strongs_NT, Strongs_OT, Vines, etc.

Tricks: These may be of no value to anyone else, but they help me and they are free.

I have tried a couple different prayer apps and never found one that worked for me. So now I just use "Tasks" on the phone. I created 3 tasks; one for M-W-F, one for T-TH-Sa, and one for Sunday. I set them up as "Repeat", "Other," "Week," then select the days associated with the name. Then under Notes for each I type in what I want to pray for those days. Each day click on the note icon and there is my prayer list. You can modify this however you want. It has worked great for me.

This one I am sure everyone has already thought of: Every once in awhile a thought comes to mind for a sermon, an article, or whatever. I would try to remember them until later, never worked, or write down on a piece of paper, couldn't remember what I did with the piece of paper. Now I just quickly click over to Memos and type in a quick note and place it under the appropriate category.

I know those were extremely basic and perhaps of little value to others, but hope they stimulate you to put down your most useful apps and or tricks for Religious activities.

Thanks so much. I have been looking for a topical bible, a bible dictionary and a chain reference. I got them all in one full swoop...and for free no less. I wasn't aware of these being available. I have Bible+ and BibleReader, but the only thing I could get to go with it was the ASV. I just recently got the NIV on my Palm, so these other apps will come in handy. I am headed over to South Africa in November to work in Mamelodi providing assistance to AIDS victims and can only take one suitcase. While I won't be able to use my Sprint phone while I'm there, I will be able to use my Palm for the Bible and assistants you mentioned. Thanks again.

.........while it may also be a question of faith, it is definitely the lifelong value of military service: character.
Good job, Stu; Mamelodi will have some lucky folks in November.

(P.S.: You may need a GSM phone to stay in touch with us here, while you're there.
May I suggest the 680? )

LOL, that is very kind of you, Pete, but I was only kidding. Those long distance calls from South Africa can be a doozie.

I'll loan you the 680, not pay your phone bill!

Lemme know if you decide differently later; I'm sure it'd come back the way I sent it.

Sometimes those calls aren't as bad as you think. I went to England last summer, got the unlock code from Cingular for my 650 and bought a local pay as you go sim card in London. It was very cheap; free incoming calls and I am pretty sure it only cost like $0.10/minute to call back to States. It would be worth some internet surfing to check it out. Plus, you'd get to use a good GSM phone to boot.

What type of assistance will you be doing?

My church is sending 300 people. This is the third year the church has done this. Mamelodi is a poor township that suffers in poverty, 50% AIDS proliferation, unemployment, hunger, etc. Some of the 300 will be building houses, some will be planting gardens, some will be teaching children (mostly orphans), and a few of us will be on "SWAT" teams. There is a SWAT team for hooking up PCs in the church building there, and the one I'm on, the medical team, will be doing medical checkups, etc. I am a Family Therapist with specialties in Crisis Therapy, and Trauma work. These people have a lot of that. I had a great meeting today with a distributor of a product that will help with nutrition and with the AIDS patients. They are working on providing a free donation of their product. Of course, none of this has to do with Treos, so please forgive my digressions.

Yeah, right...........find another site (Treos or otherwise) that can act as a team the way this one does. You're the psychology expert; you tell me why.
You're not digressing. My son's a second (voluntary) tour Iraq veteran.
You rock, and I would be proud to contribute in any way I can.
Big fan of your new signature.
Lemme know within two weeks prior to your "deployment" about my prior offer (if it's relevant).
