| Junior Member ![]() | Alarm sware to play WMA files? Anyone have alarm software that will recognize WMA files? I want to set alarms to play songs, but cannot seem to track down the right software I have PTunes Deluxe to play the wma files, but need to set actual alarms to wake up etc. to wma music files. Trials of Butler, BugMeNot, and Palmary clock see only the mp3 files on my card. Anyone know if KoolSounds is a good bit of software, or any others? Found something called Gentime (I think)... but after 3 trials it's time to ASK! Thanks in advance! |

Take a look and see if you find something there. I believe most of these have a trial period so checking them out won't cost you. |

![]() ![]() | or you could use an app to convert wma to mp3. litex media has one and i think it's free to try. if not, just do a yahoo search for wma to mp3 conversion and you'll find a slew of 'em. |

| Junior Member ![]() | Thanks 2 both for the speedy response! Yeeeeeahhh, I did previously search for alarms - that's how I settled upon Butler and BugMeNot -- however, neither of those can use wma files. That's what prompted me to ask the experts (wink) rather than download 742,963 trials. Thanks for the link on the converter - been there too. Just wondering if anything DOES exist where I don't have to do double-duty on the wma files. If anyone is using an alarm utility they swear by that already accepts wma - that's the ticket I'm hoping for. 'Preciate it |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd do the conversions, and then rip everything from then on to MP3. MP3 is playable by pretty much every player, software or hardware, while WMA is not. I'm not a big fan of closed formats, which MP3 technically is, but it's so standard it's really your best bet. That said, Rivia Gentimer supports WMA.
