| I made my first post! ![]() | Online Calendar / Sync Regarding sync'ng to an online calendar.... - I'm still waiting for some open source/free sync to Google calendar. - The Companion Link people claim to have a product to sync to Google calendar. Not sure about the price. And I'm always nervous when the software claims to neet .Net software. http://www.companionlink.com - I just got an email from "Clearsync". They have their own online calendar and do sync'ng. Don't know how good their online calendar is.... http://www.clearsync.com |

| I made my first post! ![]() | GooSync syncs well with Google Calendar I tried out GooSync recently - http://www.goosync.com This is an over-the-air (OTA) sync client that uses SyncML, runs on Palm and works well with the Treo to sync the Palm Calendar with the Google Calendar if you have a data plan. I have had some hiccups from playing with the settings. But if you use the default settings it seems to sync well after taking awhile the first time. The current version (I used v 3.0.0.0) seems to hang on the first sync of the Treo calendar with the Google Calendar. But if you let it sit for 5-10 minutes during the first sync when it seems like it sent all the Treo records it will eventually get the Google Calendar entries and sync. *do not* use the "device update" calendar sync option (supposedly one way: Google Calendar to Treo calendar) as it will erase all of your Treo calendar entries at this time. Try it out. Last edited by JoachimV; 12-19-2006 at 01:41 PM. Reason: missing info |

![]() | I have decided to move away from Outlook for my calendaring and move to Google Calendar--after the painful steps of moving my calendar entries off the Exchange server to Google, GooSync has worked like a champ! It synchs beautifully. There were some problems with the times on some appointments--but I remembered I wiped the device with a hard reset, to start off clean (with what was now a solid Google Calendar) and neeeded to re-apply the DST update to my Treo. So far so good--created, deleted, modified appointments in both the web and Treo, and the changes carried over. It'll be nice to have access from home (via the web on my Mac) to the same stuff as at work, without having to use Outlook web access.
