Looking for a Dictionary for Windows Mobile

I'm looking for a good free (or at least quite inexpensive) dictionary/thesaurus for my Treo which uses WM6.

I write and read a lot and having a dictionary with me at all times would be very useful.

I've searched this site for the word 'dictionary' and came across some recommendations but I was wondering if there was anything new out there. Noah sounded good but I can't seem to find a WM version.

Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome.

Thanks!

Thought I'd reply to my own question in case anyone else out there is also looking. I downloaded the Tilde Dictionary, which is free, and I like it fine. It's pretty basic - forget looking for twenty dollar words like "serendipity" and such - but as a free version, it's useful. Requires installing the dictionary word definitions first then the program but it installed without hassle and works well.

Found a dictionary I really like. The only weird thing is that there is no installation file. You unpack the file, drag the files to your device in a folder you create, and activate the exe file from there each time.

The reasons I like it:

-it's free
-it has 19 dictionaries with it
-7 of these are English to other language translators (French, Spanish, etc.)
-2 of these are French to other language translators (Romanian, Larousse)
-3 of these are German to other language translators (Eng,Fre,Rom)
-1 is a regular German dictionary
-1 is an English Oxford dictionary
-1 is an English synonyms dictionary
-1 is an English medical dictionary
-1 is a Romanian dictionary
-1 has Romanian synonyms
-1 has Spanish Synonyms

It works well and I've had no trouble with it and it is very handy. I mostly use the English synonyms, the English Oxford, the English-French, and medical.

34MB is a lot of memory. Can it be run from the Card? I read the documentation and it doesn't say if it can. Just wondering if you tried it from your card.

Definitely.

I created a folder on my storage card called Pocket Dictionary and dragged the unpacked files onto it. I run it right from that, but I have to open it by going into file explorer and double clicking the exe file. There is no installation file. It's the long way around but it works.

And yes, the file is way too big to run on the device, but that file is just the self extracting exe file that unpacks and I unpacked everything on my PC. However, the size of the unpacked files, which I dragged to my storage card, is a total of 142 mb. Large in itself but I have a 2G storage card with plenty room for it.

I'll keep it until I find a free one just as good that takes up less room. Secretly, I'm hoping the 4G cards go on sale at Staples at some point.

Speaking of, I bought a 4g card on eBay and it didn't work. 2g is big enough for me so far anyway.

did you format the card. If not do so that she make it work or its a defective card and you should be able to exchange or get a new one.

I didn't reformat the card as I assumed it was because it was the wrong kind. It was an HDSC and I bought it knowing it probably wouldn't work because they don't normally work in Treos. I took a risk because someone had mentioned they had one working in theirs. And I couldn't get a refund as I bought it knowing it was the wrong type of card for my device. I couldn't blame that on the seller.
