Email Freeware for Hotmail/Gmail - Treo Forum

Are there any freeware apps that are good with Hotmail/Gmail for those of us that don't get the luxury of a good email? VersaMail won't do hotmail, but I think it does too Gmail. Unfortunately, Hotmail is my primary account. I know about ChatterMail, but I am a poor college student, and try to avoid spending $20 bucks if I can.

I use versamail for my gmail and aol but I use the sprint mobile thats free to download from the sprint website for my hotmail, hope this helps.

Actually that helps a lot. I must have missed that program when I went through the phone yesterday. Now I can set up my emails!! YAY!! Thanks a lot!

is Sprint mail the same as "Seven"?

Does it work for Non sprint users?

I don't think it is the same as Seven and you definitely can't use it on another Carrier's phone.

Edit: I have since found out that Seven is the company that indeed makes the Sprint Email application.

I did try a beta version of Seven.

For POP3 it was fine

For Hotmail it only pulled the inbox. I have several inboxes where filtered emails go through, so i could not check filtered mails.

And it never worked with my gmail imap account

Other quirks:
Seven hijacks you mail button, not matter what your settings are.
it is a very big program, 2MB.

I can't find the link to the software anymore, not even in their beta forum.
If someone is interested in the prc, just send me a PM
Just remember that it is a beta release and it is strongly suggested to back up your device before installing it
