speaking of the ASR sound codec, I also rock a palm T/X that seems to lack this codec. Anyone know and have the specific files I need to get that working? If the codec worked then I should be set without having to pay for Kinoma. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This is a cool freeware application. It is called NotifyThem I love this application. You can set a SMS message to be delivered at a specified time. For example, you want to remind your wife/husband/significant other to pick up "something" from the store or an appointment. You are going to be busy during that time. What do you do? You set up the message and it will be delivered at your specified time. Lovely! I woke my daughter up this morning. Loved it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use Jott for that, but I presume they use my info and sell it to pay for their server. They got to be making money somehow. I'll give this one a try. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use jott as well. But I am the type of guy that loves to test software. If I see it or read about it, I'll test it. I like NotifyThem because I can type it and forget about it. Not a bad app. JOTT is teh awesome as well. |

![]() | Hi to all. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet as I haven't been able to read all the posts here yet, but there's softpedia.com or Free downloads encyclopedia - Softpedia. I go to Handheld, 2 ways to check out, just Palm OS but that'll cut down your searches or down to software categories and scroll through whatever you're looking for. Watch for the Palm logo or whatever type of handheld you own ie blackberry etc. There's so much it'll take hours. I haven't looked at them but looks like there's software for regular computers etc. Enjoy and pls let me know if you try and how you enjoy. Shirl |

![]() | Hi Jooline, further to HandyShopper Yes 100% agree with you. Have also found so many other uses for it such as - House Bill utility list - dollar amts - date - check off when paid for that month - Vehicle maintenance check off list, with phone #'s etc in the notes - url list - Travel List - luggage list, to do before / after the trip list - TV programs - times, channels, dates - Wish List - Monthly bills - utility, vehicle, credit cards & how much each month I have many many more. If a list can be made, I make it. Right now I'm on an inventory list. Made a template with what info I need. Saved it as Template Store. If I'm not sure what to put in any template, I D/L a free app off the net, check what I need, delete the app and stick with HShopper (HS). I make a Template Store with that info and keep reusing it. On/waiting for a bus, I make a few blank entries with my template for when I need it. Under Preferences I use Max Lines as 1 (one). This way my detailed info is right there but all I see quick glance is inven. object. Once at home, I "inventory" whatever needs to be recorded and break it into diff rooms stores or items stores. I try all kinds of ideas with HS. Plan to buy Smart List to Go but for now this'll work. Also this way you can export to MemoPad, (autom goes into Desktop), block/paste into Word or Wordperfect etc for hard copy. Recently I started this as we keep a list of daily duties at work for the month. 3 steps .... HS list (July Work Duties), Export to MemoPad at end of month, block/paste from Desktop Memos into WP or Word, voila - List is ready for work and print same off. Now I'm into Aug. When exporting to Memopad, it separates each entry by a dash (-) or bullet mark. I prefer the bullet version, looks more professional. But one thing, if you put a lot of info in "Notes" of your HS, that won't work as well, better to keep it right in the main area. It also imports anything from the MemoPad, just in reverse of above. Very very useful software for $0.00. I know there are a lot of other apps that do the variety of duties and I like them too but I like simplicity too, if the same works by one software, why complicate things. I hope some of these ideas help anyone. S |
