I agree. MiniBar is an excellent application to have. It comes in handy all the time.

My freeware app recommendation for the week is Auto Buddy. There are a number of Auto Maintenance/Mileage/Expense Managers out there that are priced anywhere from $15 to $40 (the average is $20). While some are clearly better then Auto Buddy, particularly if you have a fleet of vehicles or want a desktop version, few offer significantly more benefits then this freeware does. It does the following functions: Fule Mileage, Travel Expenses, Service and Repairs, Do It Yourself, Auto Accident Info, and Vehicle Info. I find it to be a very handy app. I would give it four out of five stars as an app if it was shareware, but five out five since its free.

Freeware Palm: Auto Buddy v2.0.0

3 of my favorite freeware apps, aside from those listed:

FileZ - Awesomely simple utility app.
Colorize - Give your Treo a facelift!
Stopwatch - self explanatory, but I love it!

Freeware pick of the Week: 1st Aid
Since most of us carry our Treos where-ever we go, it makes sense to have an app that explains First Aid steps in case of medical issues or emergencies. I've taken many 1st Aid classes and still can't remember everything. Now I don't have to, because 1st Aid is right there. Given that its free, there is no reason why every Treo/Centro user shouldn't have it on their phone. That way if we run across an emergency or worse yet, have one ourselves, we have a nonemotional guide to help us. Here is the link:

Freeware Palm: 1st AID v1.4

I forgot to post a freeware app of the week last week, so I'll do two this week. The first one is Tipper by Ellam's software. It figures out the tip for you. There are a number of tip apps out there and most of them are shareware. This one is free. Also, this site has a number of free games that you might enjoy.

Quality Palm Games and Software from Ellams Software

I've got 1st Aid on my TX, good stuff!

I am a word game fanatic and here is my brand new favorite, TS-WOF! It's a Wheel Of Fortune knock off and it is freaking awesome! You people do not realize how much work I have managed to avoid by playing this game!

So far I haven't had a puzzle repeat itself, and I've been playing pretty much nonstop! Enjoy! ...I sure am!

MiniBar is a great app, really enjoyed it.... BUT!
If you are a sprint user (might be any CDMA for all I know.. heck, it might even be all centros? probably just CDMA though), MiniBar will disable your ASR sound codec in blazer. In other words, you won't be able to play most "mobile" videos from youtube etc.

I like checkbook, good app. Keeps me from having to keep checking my balance all the time, and has a bill pay reminder.

E-Reader obviously.

googlemaps is my best friend. I travel for work a few days out of the week, to random dealerships. Keeps me from getting lost, and helps me run errands and find good food in areas I am not familar with.
