![]() | Avantgo or Nogo I use to use Avantgo and loved it on my 650, but then is started to mess up and I could never get it to consistently work properly. It would state that I needed to put in my password, which of course had been entered. I ended up removing it completely, but still miss it. I do not have a data plan, but when I sync'd every morning it would download all the items I had listed on Avantgo so I could read during the day. Anyone have a any experience with Avantgo? Is it worth trying again on my 680 or are there better alternatives?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Not sure about alternatives to Avant Go. Maybe do a search in the Treonauts store for similar palm os software. Maybe stu or pete or other palm os guru's will chime in with some possibilities. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I used Avantgo on my 755p for a time, but I deleted it just because I wasn't using it much. Worked fine though.

![]() | I used and loved AvantGo for years back when I had Palm PDAs. It was a great app although toward the end it seemed like more and more of the sites they offered stopped offering an AvantGo version. Now that I have a Centro with unlimited data I have no use for it. |

![]() | I had some problems with AvantGo and stopped using it a couple years back. Maybe it would work better now, but I too have data and don't need it. What you may want to check out is an RSS reader. You can set up the feeds to update at Hot Sync and not "live" so you can have all your feeds update in the morning for reading later. Most web sites have some sort of RSS component, especially news sites. There are a lot of readers available - search the software store or if you are interested, let us know and I'm sure many folks can recommend readers.

![]() | I've used QuickNews which works generally well. The only thing I don't like is after the feeds are updated, the first launch of the application on the Treo takes 20-30 seconds to load the feeds. Don't know if other readers do this or not.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | QuickNews is probably the most well known and well respected RSS reader. I use Resco News, simply because I bought the Resco Suite. There are many others though.
