![]() | Question? how to delete cingular Apps Okay, i'm new here, and its late so i probably missed a similar thread somewhere. But here's the question, i have a cingular treo 680, and have proceeded to unlock it, and have updated it as well (I am on T-mobile) and i want to delete the cingular apps like push, and the mail client, and the tv thing (again, its late) and the gps thing etc. Is there anyway i can do this? or am just going to have to deal with it? thanks for all your help in advance! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The apps I believe are in ROM so there's no way to delete them easily. What you would need is either a custom ROM with those apps removed or you could flash your 680 with the unbranded/non carrier specific ROM.

![]() ![]() | Actually you don't need any special app to do this. Go to Prefs/Applications and de-select any app listed and it will not appear anywhere on the Treo, but they'll still be in ROM/RAM if you ever decide you want them back.

![]() ![]() | That's my point, unless you really have to have these apps removed, just Hide them by toggling them to Invisible in the Prefs/Application. Thereby avoiding any ROM adaptation.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You need a freeware app called Applications Panel. Here is a link for it: Applications Panel 1.3 (for Palm OS) - mytreo.net/downloads After you download it to your Centro, it will show up in your preferences as "Applications." Simply click on the apps you want to hide and then you're done. |
