MP3/media player - Treo Forum

I did some poking around and did not come across what I was looking for (so forgive me if I missed something).

That said, I am looking for a FREE media player (especially for music) for the Palm OS.

I am not very fond of P-Tunes and would like something more advanced.

I checked out Core Media player, and it seems nice, but I'm CHEAP (sorry). It just seems silly to pay $20 if something out there that is comparable is free.

Do a search for TCMP. It was the open version of Core before it went commercial.

I found a version .7 but did not download it.

That said, is Core Media player worth the $20? Will it be a great MP3 player (from my SD card)?

Will it offer the other the quality of an iTunes style player? Personally, I really dislike pTunes.

Are the other file types played just as well.

I think that I've become somewhat comfortable shelling out the $20, but I would hate to spend that money and be disappointed with the product.

Try the free version first. It probably will do what you need.
