| Member ![]() | Hi all, Most of the lists of top software for the treo are old (mid to late 2006). Does anyone know of a top/most popular list that is more recent? I would like a news reader to get basic headlines in two or three areas daily. Are there widgets for treos? I like my 4Cast software, my PDAnet, 2Day is just okay, might like a handwritten note software like a to-do list; not crazy abt Treo Memo...it's just yellow version of the regular Memo app; MiniTones is cool. Would also like a bluetooth headset and connection that sounds to the other party like I am talking normally, not static-y or like I am in a well. Also would like to be able to dial using bluetooth voice dial. Yes, that would be nice. Also would like to get my Yahoo email acct easily on phone without going through the Web interface to do it. No, I don't want to pay for Y Mail Plus. Thanks in advance, Karen |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Widgets, have not found one. However, forgot introduced me to a "pre-beta" software called Saguaro. Two widgets, CNN headline news and Weather Channel. You can check Saguaro.com and see if they are still offering it. QuickNews was introduced to me, also by forgot, and works very well. I tried some free ones and didn't like 'em. As a matter of fact, I didn't get all of my feeds. Here is a link to all rss feeder on the Treonauts software store. Treonauts | Palm Treo Software For Treo 650, 680, 700p, 700w and 750 Smartphone As far as Ymail, you are gonna have to pay. I switched to gmail just so I didn't have to pay the ridiculous amount to get POP on yahoo. For a headset, Jawbone has had a good review. Listen to RichC's post on the forum. He recorded himself driving with windows up and down. Just listen and you will be impressed. If I had the dough, I would have sprung for one already. For handwritten notes, you can try Pennovates. They offer a free trial to see if you like 'em. Here is the link Treonauts | Palm Treo Software For Treo 650, 680, 700p, 700w and 750 Smartphone I hope this helps. Lou |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm still hoping we see Yahoo! Go on the Palm side. Still no release on WM Treos either. They're sure taking their sweet time... I'm so tempted to pay for Y+ just because my 2 primary email accounts outside of work are there. I don't know what everyone likes so much about gmail, I have an account, it works, but I'm not fond of the user interface.

Treonauts | Palm Treo Software For Treo 650, 680, 700p, 700w and 750 Smartphone As far as Ymail, you are gonna have to pay. I switched to gmail just so I didn't have to pay the ridiculous amount to get POP on yahoo. But I love Yahoo. Hate to pay for it tho. Since I don't use it for work, I don't HAVE to have it instantly, in mobile form I suppose. I do have my work email which is on an Exchg Server for which I use Versamail. Isnt there a way to make it "push" now??????? For a headset, Jawbone has had a good review. Listen to RichC's post on the forum. He recorded himself driving with windows up and down. Just listen and you will be impressed. If I had the dough, I would have sprung for one already. Too much money. I don't even want to listen cause then I'll want it. I have promised myself that this year I will make more than I spend! Ha! For handwritten notes, you can try Pennovates. They offer a free trial to see if you like 'em. Here is the link Yes, I have read about them. Didn't know whether to try that one or something else. Treonauts | Palm Treo Software For Treo 650, 680, 700p, 700w and 750 Smartphone I hope this helps. Of course you helped...you always do. Thanks!!! ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes if your running Versamail 3.5 and you're connecting to an Exchange Server running either 2003 with SP2, (2003 R2), or 2007. Of course they would also need to have enabled that feature ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just an FYI, I've been running Sagurao for a while now, and have had no interaction or reset issues. Its very limited in function right now, so I really don't see it as being something your looking for, but keep an eye on it. Also, like Comiken said, I've been running Quicknews for quite a while. Its great, dependable, and stable. It may not be a sell point for you, but I really like the fact that it will auto-download my podcasts. On to Yahoo!. Everyone wants to get stuff for free, but IMO paying $20 a year to have access to the same account I've had for years is no big deal. I'd easily spend this on dinner and a movie. Lastly, Pennovate Notes. Great application, especially if you are looking into something that allows you to jot down notes in your own handwriting. You can sync, email, or even print these notes as well. Very useful. Just my 2 cents. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh, I agree they should go to POP access, but for now they're not going to. Some may argue that I'm just another one fueling their "no free POP" fire, but for me its just easier at this point. I like to have my email with me (like most Treo users) and I'm not willing to switch.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Your are right. I have had yahoo since like, the 90's. I still use it for IM and I do check it via the web. But, I guess when i got my phone I had just had knee surgery. I was broke and didn't see me forking out $20. I couldn't justify it. I guess I have not excuse now, except that, I have gmail now! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'm thinking about ponying up the cash. I want POP access. Actually I'd prefer IMAP, but that's not happening anytime soon. Of course if I paid for access, they'd release Y! GO for both WM and Palm OS within the hour. ![]()
