Lost My Treo CD - Treo Forum

I have misplaced, lost, my set-up CD. I know that I can download the palm desktop from Palm.com, but is the desktop and the set-up CD the same? I need to switch from the desktop to Outlook and need the CD for that. Or is there other sw that I need? Thanx

Which Treo do you have? As far as I know the Palm Desktop software on their site will do what you want to do.

The main difference between the cd that comes with the Treo and the Palm Desktop software you download, is that the cd has some extra software, like games and a pdf reader, that aren't installed on the Treo by default, at least on Cingular branded 650s.

Yeah, please let me know. I've been contemplating putting up an image of the Cingular CD on Bit Torrent.

Well I was able to change from Palm DT to Outlook, but now I can't get the computer to "see" my treo 650. I've tried 3 different USB ports and no luck. So I'm not sure what's going on yet...

Try rebooting the computer, and a soft reset on the 650. Typically that clears such issues up.
