Wow.If the other products on the site (or the site itself! very clean!) are any indication of how this product will run, I'll be all over it. I'm gonna give it a try a little later today.

App looks great -- but setup is a pain...

This app has great promise. It is beautiful to look at, and it seems to function well on my 680.

So far, I have only one request for a feature that if it were there, would make this application irresistable. I would purchase it in a heartbeat:

- The app will take your photos from the internal contacts database, but you still have to select the contacts manually, one-by-one. You also have to manually select phone numbers once you have selected a contact! It would be SOOOOOO nice if I could press a single button, and have DialByPhoto scan my contacts database, select all contacts that currently have pictures attached, and select all phone numbers and email addresses by default. That way, I could start using the application immediately without spending an hour plodding through my contacts, searching for ones with photos, and then clicking each and every phone number and email address.

Looking forward to how this shapes up in the coming days.

Thanks.

-mark

Talking TakePhone 6.50

I don't know how anyone finds anything with the standard contact search. I use Takephone 6.50 and it is a breeze. With three, max four touches, I search by First Name, Last name or Company, without need to indicate which search I am using. Add the speed buttons, redial, call history etc., and I am a happy camper. Unless someone improves on Takephone, I will import it to my 680 when it arrives.

Okay... i just downloaded it... I like it so far. takes some getting used to, but I like the look. I have to get used to the contacts where in the default you clicked the number it asked you if you wanted to dial. If you click on the number here, it automatically dials. Don't like that. It would be nice to have a prompt.

I've been using it for a few hours now, and really like the look and feel. I dare say I might like it more than the new phone app for the 680 I've been holding up so high. Time will tell....

Think that this would be a good software pack for those 700p users that would like something similar to the 680s new phone software, or does it not really replace it in that sense?

BTW I'm sorta broke between the 680 and 700p at the moment, could this persuade me to get the 700p?

Thanks,
Chris

We are definatly looking into this. We have tentative planned and designed a tab navigation as an option in a future release.

Very nice, but I'm finding the navigation somewhat awkward. Any way to move the contacts up one so it is just below the pics? An option to move these (contacts, recent calls list, ect) around would be nice so people can pick which things are close and easy to click on.
