![]() | You can use different apps to do it, but I use Minitones to convert it to what the centro and treos can use. Plus, its free. Treo Ringtones: Quick, Simple & Free With MiniTones | Treonauts The link is a great blog post on how to do it. |

![]() | Upload ringtones from SD card What I do is use Audacity(free software) to create the ringer from an actual mp3 file. It allowa you to choose the 23 seconds you would like to use as a ringer, and place effects in as well such as fade in at the beggining and fade out at the end and also amplify the ringetone file then I transfer that new 23 second mp3 file to the memory card. Now you'll need another free program called Minitones that actually installs on the Centro or whatever Treo you are using. Now the Minitones application allows you to trim an entire mp3 on the device, but for me that is to hard to figure out exactly what section I want to trim thats why I use Audacity to trim it on my PC first. Now just open minitones on the Palm and choose add then put a check in the box next to the file you want to use as a ringer and viola it will put that mp3 file in the sounds section of the device and now you have the ringer you want without any out of pocket expense !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()

![]() | Realplayer for palm supports RealAudio (.RM, .RMJ) and MP3 (.Mp3) Pocket Tunes supporst MP3, AAC, WMA, Protected WMA, aacPlus/HE-AAC v1, aacPlus/HE-AAC v2, Ogg Vorbis, PCM WAV. Both have playlists, but Pocket Tunes has streaming audio, album art (if you use them), and you can change the skin. Note: WMA playback, Internet radio, AAC/aacPlus playback, and bookmarks requires the Deluxe version and is not available in the trial. Pocket Tunes If you scroll down a bit you will see the whole list for what you get. |
