Great catch!

Not tried it yet but I do use Media Player Classic on my PC in conjunction with FFDShow... saves so much hassle with codec and extra stuff I just don't use with regular media player.

Love Open Source.

I'll download it and give it a shot.

Awesome, watching Lost on it now! Love the fact that you can selectively install codecs.

Now of course I want it to have all the controls of MPC.

Forgot that Andrew had covered TCPMP back in April'05 for those that want to know more...and the project is even better now.

I've been using TCPMP for quite some time on my treo 650 and 600

I use it in conjuction with Pocket DVD Wizard which is very easy to use, I used to use Virtual Dub which is free but alot more difficult to use.(well i found it difficult, maybe it's easy and i'm not too clever...lol)

Nice! I know Virtual Dub, used to use it to chop up video files for marketing... much quicker than loading Vegas or Premier...

Check out this little post on Auto Gordian Knot.. you might like that package of apps.

Ok, I looked about and found out if you install a WMV file staight onto an SD card and rename it untitled mp4 then it should work, so i tried it and TCPMP through up a box saying not supported by this player, so i clicked ok and it played with one slight problem, no sound, but maybe I haven't installed all the posible codec's available for the treo.

... could be that audio is encoded using an unsupported codec like WMA v2 or v3... the windows version can play this stream because it's got the codec in the OS but as I understand it Palm OS is the next challenge.

@brandonwankenobi - not quite understanding the question. tcpmp is a media player like WMP, it does have a series of codecs built for it but they are not compatible with WMP.

skoenig, i'm just lazy, like i said. i've got some wmp files and i was curious about a codec for tcpmp. i can convert them into mp4 format with kinoma producer with no problem, but i always look for a shortcut for things like this. sorry for the confusion.

gotcha.

let us know if you find something worthwile.

Transformers huh? Got some of those for my kid. I'm convinced, looking at them, that you can stick them altogether to make a huge one if you get all the ones form a set. Is that true?
