| First you need Frobnitz which is the interpreter for Infocom type adventure games. The game itself was available for download but seems to have disappeared now  If you PM your email address I'll see what I can do

| there have been hundreds of games on my palms over the years. I'm too lazy to make links for everything -- especially since some of this stuff is old and hard to find online now. silly little distraction games: dopewars pilot-mines hearts (the old Dave Mayes version) sfcave prison sigma I like adventure or rpg or whatever they are -- but the big games never really seem to get finished. Still, I've sunk too many hours over the years into Kyle's Quest (v1 was best, v2 never had complete maps, v3 is vapor) Alden's Crossing EDGE Legacy Pocket Dimension The rest of this is about Interactive Fiction. The Hitchhiker's Guide talk above got me thinking about it. It's great fun, there's still an active community writing the games, and many are in the infocom format and playable on the palm. There is even an annual Competition for the writing of the games. You need an interpreter like Frobnitz, or CliFrotz (I'm sure there are others) and a game to play. There are hundreds of games to choose from at the Interactive Fiction Archive - so many that there are search engines and guides to help wade through them. Baf's Guide is a good place to start. My personal favorite game is Graham Nelson's Curses. Hitchhiker's Guide is available at douglasadams.com. If you're persistent, you can probably find the .z3 file there to download, or heck, just play it on the web like they want you to  |
