Getting music on my 680

All right, I went an bought a 2 gig card for this thing and I can't figure out how to get music on to my 680

I almost all of my music in itunes, can I get this directly onto my treo?

Easiest way is to use a card reader on your PC and just copy the music files to your SD card

so, with an sd card reader I can get my Itunes music to play on my 680? And what program do I have to use? Can I use just the pocket tunes that came on it?

You use the reader to copy the music onto the SD card.

The music in iTunes was that bought from the iTunes store?

So I bought a card and reader/writer. Now I am able to put some of the Mp3 audio that I had on my desktop on my treo,

Now, my main question is if I can get my Itunes on there, what format the treo wants for audio files.

The free version of Pocket Tunes that came on your 680 supports MP3's and WAV's, if you want AAC support you need to upgrade to the full version. If they are AAC files that use DRM then unfortantely you won't be able to play them directy. See this page on the Pocket Tunes Knowledgebase.

From what I can gather, I am assuming that the PTunes that came already installed on my Treo 680 is basically useless, and I will need to buy the upgrade if I want to use audiobooks or any variety of sound formats...Is that true? Thanks.

MP3s are easily playable by PTunes, but yes if you want to listen to audio books or AAC files you'll need to upgrade. AAC is the default audio format for iTunes, and most songs downloaded from the iTunes store are protected, and unplayable on the Treo, unless you burn them to a CD and re-rip them (I recommend burning them anyway because you can't redownload them for free if your computer crashes.
