Looking for some good radio stations for PTunes 4 - Treo Forum

I am looking for a good NPR station and a good ESPN radio station. Anyone have any suggestions? I see they have WBUR in Boston, but they don't have any descriptions available of their stations.

Hey, I edited your title so more people might read this!

Do you have any that you stream on your desktop? If so, remember that you can add stations manually in PT4.

No, I don't have any that stream to my desktop. I checked with my local NPR station, and they don't offer it online. I haven't really looked at any local ESPN stations - I don't know what they are!

Since you mentioned Boston, might I assume that thats where your looking for stations?

If so, here is a link to a page with all kinds of stations in the area. The ESPN station listed here does not have a URL for a stream, but I'm sure a little more searching on the web will locate one for you!

Actually, I am in Florida.

I just noticed the WBUR station in Boston, and I am a Red Sox fan so I looked up WEEI (which oddly enough, uses Kinoma player on my PDA to stream instead of pTunes)

You can search the shoutcast.com listings at the TreoBits' mobile site under Internet Radio.

I know there are some NPR and ESPN stations listed there.

Yeah, I got some sports channels. No local NPR, but that doesn't really matter, I got another one.

I'm a little late to the party but I highly recommend the following two sites for streaming radio:

US Radio Stations - The Stream Center - Searchable list of America's streaming radio stations.
Radio-Locator

Both of which I use when hunting for regular stations. The streamcenter is useful because the links are to the stream rather then the page with the stream on it (saving you trawling through the html to find the actual stream).
