AudioGateway & pTunes incompatable??? - Treo Forum

Anyone out there having (or not having) difficulty with these 2 apps? pT's site says AG is not compatible with them, but AG says its compatible with pT. I have the most up-to-date versions of both, but can't get music to the headphones (see licensing post).

I've contacted both developers, with no response yet (maybe too soon), but am curious whether anyone else with the same programs are having difficulty too.

OK...pTunes has replied. Here it is:

If you receive this error in Pocket Tunes it means that another program is interfering with playback of copy protected files. Obviously in this case, it is Softick Audio Gateway.

With Audio Gateway, simply set it to 'Internal' to stop it from interfering when playing copy protected files.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

Ok. Then what good is it to have AudioGateway and have it set to the internal speaker??? I'm trying to play music I've bought from Walmart.com (which plays just fine thru a corded earset). Is that the issue? This is twice I've had difficulty with the AG program and I'm getting rather perturbed, but want to try to resolve this before I give up on the program.

I assume these are protected music files that you're having problems with, do normal MP3's play Ok?

I guess. I haven't tried to play any mp3s...I actually have been ripping using WMA instead of MP3 (just figured out how to do as MP3)

Just checked...yup...they all are WMA. How much of a difference does that make?

Don't remember where I found it probaly on this site, but check our soundtaxi you can convert your files. I now listen to my napster light downloads through p tunes and audio gate.
