Chat Client (Yahoo, AIM, MSN) - Treo Forum

Hey all,
is there a chat client that lets me do AIM, Yahoo and MSN chatting? I used to use the Yahoo messenger for BlackBerry when I had one. Thoughts?

There are plenty, but you generally have to pay for them. Here are a couple......Chatopus, Causerie, Mundu, VeriChat.

I use Verichat on the 700p... there's plenty of complaints about all of them oddly but I've never had an problem with Verichat.

The offline bit works too - so if the last time your were connected was through Verichat and you disconnect your network connection you then receive IM via SMS...clever.

Thanks everyone...since VeriChat was listed on the top 100 software titles, I went with that one.

I'm new to the treo, as you can see by this being my second post, but I'd like to know if we have the capability to view web cams using any of these chat client?

Figured I'd throw my recommendation on for anybody else who happens across this thread...

I'm a happy VeriChat user. I think it was quite possibly the first program I bought and installed on my original Treo 600. I haven't tried any of the other ones, but I'm usually pretty picky... and I haven't found anything to complain about with VeriChat.

Yes I agree verichat is an excellent client, but unfortunatley it isn't available anymore.

Oh dear... You're right! My understanding was VeriChat doesn't make a direct connection to the various IM networks, but uses some sort of proxy server... I wonder what's going to happen now...

I dunno... I reckon someone with some really community power should petition Nokia to make it opensource and let everyone benefit since they don't want it.

They're canning it as they bought the parent company for other reasons (intellisync?).
