Help with Microsoft Outlook!

Hi, thanks for taking the time to help me out! I have had the Treo 650 for about 4 months now. I just had unlimited internet added to my phone. I'm trying to set up the Treo so I can receive emails from my Microsoft Outlook acount. I cannot figure out how to do this and the guys at Suncom can't help much either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeremy21 and Welcome!

Can you give us more information?

You say Outlook and presumably you mean the same accounts that Outlook goes to to get email... you'd need those account details to proceed. The y susuall come in the form of:

incoming mail server address(pop3)
outgoing mail server address(smtp)
username and password
email address

This varies depending on whether you are connecting through POP3 or IMAP (in IMAP you have a mail folder permanently on the server that you synchronise with)

The Treo uses an email client to retrieve email from accounts hosted online.

Which email client are you trying to use? Versamail?

Ok, I'm not sure of all the terms, but I will tell you the things I do know. I have the incoming server information, outgoing server information, user name and password and email address. I have been trying to set up as a POP3. Which one is better, POP3 or IMAP? Versamail is what was on the phone , so thats what I used. I didn't realize trying to get email from my Microsoft Outlook account to this phone would be so hard, and as everybody said in the other blogs, SUNCOM was of no help to me what so ever. Thanks for everything.
