Creating new Chat in Messaging - Treo Forum

Hi, I'm new to this forum and new to the Treo (though I've used Palm OS quite a bit before).

I love the 'chat' function in the messaging app, but I find that once I've started a 'chat' with someone, EVERY sms I get from them from that point on appears in one single chat conversation (even though it may be days later and a totally new conversation topic). Is it possible to manually start a new 'chat' without deleting the previous one? My wife and I SMS a lot (she travels abroad quite a bit) and I would love to keep all our SMS conversations separate...

Unfortunately no, not that I'm aware of. The only option for saving them that I can think of would be to go into the chat view, hit select all, and then copy all of the messages into a memo or an email.

forgot has summed it up. I looked for a while and couldn't find where you could start a new chat. Hopefully some developer reads our forum and will come up with a cool app for this. Until then.................
