Text Message "Receipt Pending"? - Treo Forum

Sent a text message 24 hours ago, and it's been sitting in my sent folder since, marked "receipt pending".

What does this mean? Should I assume it was received?

Have you ever set your phone to request recipts? Look under the preferences menu in your messaging application. Under the "Messages" tab there is a drop down menu next to MMS Receipts. Check and see what you have this set to.

I checked and it's set to "never". Why would I have gotten the "Receipt Pending" notification?

What does the receipt actually provide if it's checked?

Its like an email read recipt. Just a confermation that the reciving party got the message, read it, or both.

Every time i try to send contact by message the phone takes me to MMS option. Is there a way for sending Contact details by SMS or SMS as an attachement.

SMS doesn't support file attachments, so unfortunately no.
