| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Error Connecting Data Service Is anyone aware of what RAM or ROM file controls the network connection profiles which allow for data connections for web and email access? I apparently have a corrupt file in the backup of hotsync that eliminates my ability to connect. I have had a new phone shipped but it only connected until I hot synced and the profiles changed back to the previous one. I'd like to be able to delete the "corrupt" file and start fresh and keep it that way but I can't do it without knowing which file it is. |

![]() | Not sure what file it is but if all else fails: What you could do is put the back-up folder else where on your PC. Then delete the name that is your hotsync id, hard reset your treo, then set it up again, adding your apps from your folder once you done it. |

![]() ![]() | NetworkDB.pdb and NetworkProfiles2.pdb for network access *I think* BUT carriers also store addition info inthe nvram which persists after a hard reset. You should be able to see all the files in C:\Program Files\palmOne\TreoA\backups if you only have one profile. Make a backup first though. You basically have a trade off between time spent reinstalling apps (after doing a hard reset and renaming the profiles directory so it makes a new one) and the potential for messing things up. ~ Steph |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Well after working uploading the original ROM, I determined it wasn't the Custom Rom causing the problem, so I reloaded my ROM, completed a hard reset. I then deleted the back up files on both computers I sync with. I added applications one at a time, Hotsynced and everything has been fine since. |

| I made my first post! ![]() | I don't know if this helps or applies but I had the exact same problem and it turned out to be that DELETING 'Contacts Pro' solved the problem entirely. I don't know that it has to be Contacts Pro but I'm guessing if one Contact Dbase doesn't jive with the other, it will crash?? Give it a try. I've heard the same thing before with corrupt outlook contact files. Take care. Andrew. |
